About the Artwork

All of the items available for sale were created by Gloria Ross. Ross is a wonderfully creative artist and designer from Plano, Texas. Over her career, she was a jewelry designer, photographer, sculptor, painter, print-maker, interior designer and fashion designer.

Her works are part of several major collections, including the California Museum of Photography in Riverside, California and the Hyatt Hotel Caribe, in Cancun, Mexico.

Ross loves children and was always supportive of her local art education programs. She was the Program Director of the Children's Arts and Ideas Foundation in Dallas, Texas, which has now become Big Thought, a major national player in America's Art Education Community.

Now confined to an Alzheimer's care facility she is no longer able to produce art. Her husband, Winston Ross, has graciously donated all of her arts supplies and the remainder of her collection to benefit TRAHC's ArtsSmart and Arts on Main programs.

All proceeds from the sale of her original bead designs, prints, and photographs will benefit TRAHC's Arts on Main Scholarship fund.

These scholarships give under-served children the opportunity to participate in art camps and classes at Arts on Main.
