Out of Bounds

Sponsored in part by: Vicki and Mo Orr

Out of Bounds, Youth Version is a 40-minute long play for grades 5-9. The show is followed by
a 10-minute Q&A session with the cast. The play tells the story of 14-year-old Amy, who posts
an inappropriate picture of herself online and is then bullied online and at school. Another
important character is Madison (“Madi”) who plays the role of the bystander and is pivotal in
ending the bullying towards Amy. Throughout the play are “True Stories”; these are moments
when an actor will stop the play to tell a true story about their own experiences with bullying.
We’ve found these stories to be remarkably effective for our audiences, and yes, they really are
true!
