Cosmic Conversations: Science Fact vs. Science Fiction

A panel discussion featuring Engineers, Astronauts, Doctors and Astro-Physicists

Join TRAHC in welcoming the following experts in their fields for a panel discussion about the current state of space exploration and innovation:

Dr. Robert Satcher, Jr. – NASA Astronaut and orthopedic surgeon who made two spacewalks as part of his mission to the International Space Station. Dr. Satcher is currently working as an assistant professor of orthopedic oncology at Houston's MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Dr. Donald Peterson – Professor of Engineering and the Dean of the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) at Texas A&M University - Texarkana. Dr. Peterson is developing robot-assisted medical prosthetics, space suits, and other tools for NASA and the medical community.

Dr. Justin Thompson – Justin Thompson was born and raised in Hot Springs, AR. He graduated with a degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Arkansas in 2003. He later obtained a Master's degree in Astronautical Engineering and Mechcanical Engineering at the University of Southern California in 2006. He has worked at the Los Alamos Laboratory for the Mars Rover project, the Johnson Space Center as par of the team for the International Space Station. Currently, he works at SpaceX, developing the Falcon Reusable booster rocket.
